Default Slight Miss....wtf!!??

Made a pass at the track the other day and everything was smooth until i got to the turnaround road and it startd to miss a little bit? So i brought it home and let it idle and came to the conclusion that its missing on only one cylinder. So i started pulling plug wires from the distributor to see which one didnt make a difference in the idle. And #7 was it.Pulled the plug and it was full of fuel obviously, but when the plug was out of the head and you turned the motor it gets spark? But one thing i noticed was that i have a Lokar dipstick(junk, doesnt even read oil right) that is steel braid and whatnot that sits right upon the boot on the plug wireand ive had it for almost 4 years with no issues. But the wire looks in good shape and no insulation is showing or signs of arching? Is it possible that its grounding itself out or something cause that cylinder not to fire? Plug wires are about 3 years old and plugs are about 1 year old. Its a bracket racing car so it does see frequent track time. I put a new cap and rotor on the distributor but same sh*t. Iam all ears on any ideas on why that cylinder wont fire. Please Help...Thanks guys.

P.S. Dont know if it makes a difference, but Iam running a Crane cams Hi-6 Box, with matching coil. Its just a stock bottom end 302 with GT40 Aluminum heads,Edelbrock Performer Intake,70mmtb and mass air,24lb.Inj.,Crane Cams Cam,and CAI. Has a custom burned chip for the computer as well.

that doesn't matter!! you still need to perform a compression test expecially on a race car.. no telling what kinda crap happens when racing!!......but my guess is on the plug wire... go find a plug wire and replace it and see if it corrects problem....that's to say the prob exists only on one cylinder for sure..if it's efi you can run a koer / cylinder balance test to verify misfire/ prob cylinder
