Head comparison
We all know that the AFR's and Edlebrocks are usually the best heads. I know this. But I want to know just how much better are they than a set of aftermarket alumminum GT-40's. What can a good port job do for these. I will probably go with Edlebrock victor Jr.'s but have recently seriously started to think about some aluminum GT-40s. I have a rock solid bottom end and it is a nitrous (mostly) motor. It would be nice to save a few hundred bucs for say 20-30 horespower for AFR's etc. versus some GT's. Anyone know of a good p&p shop that I could send em to.

RE: Head comparison
screw the afr's, go for the jegs /Kaase SB-Ford Cylinder Heads, they made 511 HP @ 7800 rpm on a stock 302 with those ,Edelbrock Victor intake with a Holley 750 carb and a 256 degree mechanical roller cam.

RE: Head comparison
The AFR heads are by far the best. Every test I have seen of sbf heads has had them up top. On a stock 302 with only a dual plane weiand and a 4 barrel, they made 100 hp more. This is more than the trick flow and edelbrock heads. If you don't believe me, go here http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/116_0307_ford/ They made over 400 hp on a completely stock carbeurated 5.0 with AFR heads and roller rockers.
