Huge wiring problem need help big time
So I have a 1990 Gt that was originally an AOD. I swapped in a 5-speed and now im having some wiring problems. When i first got the car back together it was fine then the temperature guage shot way up till it stopped on the side of the instrument cluster. My voltage guage was bouncing all over the place as well and the car shut off. I went to restart it and the starter hung open. After replacing the alternator, starter, solenoid, batteryand everything it still has this problem. I replaced all the fuse links on the drivers side fenderwell. I also replaced the instrument cluster and it still has the problem. Even with no instrument cluster it still tries to cut off when you let off the gas and push in the clutch. It has the factory 2g alternator, etc. When driving along the car charges fine and when you push in the clutch to shift the check engine light comes on and the guages go errratic and the radio cuts out and the car tries to stall. When I hit the gas its fine. Im going crazy trying to figure this out can anyone help its my daily driver and ive been having this problem for a week now i cant drive the car. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does it do this only when the clutch is depressed?
Does it catch itself when you step on the gas with the clutch pressed in?
Sounds like something to do with the way the clutch switch is wired, or maybe the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor).
