i have an 84 mustang 5.0 gt, with a 5 speed i think its a T5 but im not sure where the speedo cable goes in the hole looks empty and i put my finger in it and only felt a lil opening in the side at the top but the cable i have and anycable for that matter wont be able to do anything, do i need an adapter or what?

 

you need the drive assembly that goes on the end of the cable and make sure the drive gear is on the output shaft inside the tranny..shine a pen light in the hole and look
