Default Another Speedo Gear Q

I am not having much luck searching so here comes another speedo question:

I just bought a 95 GT with some low miles on it. Make a long story short I have found out that it has a 3.55 gear and the speedo is a little off with the 17 inch wheels. Most of all the odometer reads different also. For every 100 miles I go it reads 110, so for every 1000 miles I go it reads 1100. Is there a way to fix this problem? It is not a major problem by any means but I do a lot of traveling and kinda want to keep these miles as low as possible.

you need to change the gear at the end of the vehicle speed sensor to match your gears.

Thanks again! I am going to get under and see what speedo gear is in it. Hopefully this fixes the odometer problem or at least gets it a little closer.

Is this vehicle speed sensor any way connected to the cruise control that does not work on my car? Or is my cruise not working a sep. problem.

your cruise may be a seperate issue but does work off a speed signal from drive assembley.......the drive assembley will be on left side of tranny in tailshaft and have an elec connection to it on an sn-95
