TIMING, PINGING, EXHAUST LEAK, VALETRAIN?

I am so confused. I dont know where to start. I am getting a rattle out of my 88 with a 347 stroker i built. Everythign works fine. it drives, revvs nice, etc etc. onyl thing is i am gettign this as the days go by and ICNREASINGLY louder rattle / clicking/ticking sound. it sounds more like a diesel truck rattle at ALL rpms. whetevr timing is advanced or retarded it rattles. sounds liek marbles under the valve covers. i dont want to open the valve covers and find bent rods. =( id be too upset! anyone have any ideas?

i run 93 octane 10/10.5 - 1 compression, comp cams valvetrsin componnets, 1.6 rockers full roller fulcrum pedastal mount.
