Default New heads and cam questions

Ok, so im looking at throwing in new heads and a cam on my 94 gt. i was looking into pricing and im looking at around 1500-1800 bucks for new 185 cc heads and a cam with all the gaskets and a new double roller timing chain. i was also looking into and intake manifold aswell.

my question is am i going to be better off with getting the TF twisted wedge kit that comes with all of that stuff for 2500 dollars as appose to piecing it together.

also, the heads in that kit is 170cc. is that going to limit me if i want to bore out the motor in the future?

what other options do i have if i want to get the most hp out of my motor for the l;east total amount of cash? a new crate motor?

thanks in advance guys

You could also go with a CI custom kit... custom cam + the new as cast TFS TW 190cc heads with the correct matching springs and valve train for the cam, will provide the best performance for the $$, and still be able to provide the requirements if you decide to go with a 347 afterwards.

You could get some AFR 165's and a cam.

Yep.... the key is in the camshaft events, the valve train setup and the "supporting cast" for your goals.
