Dash Swap????
#2
Ive never done this but im sure the bracing behind the dash is different and the wiring for the gauges will need to be changed, not sure if the fuse box will need any rewiring. IMO its a lot of work but if its the look youre after than its worth it.

I just need the dash. Nothing will be functional. I just like the looks of the newer dash. It is a play toy and none of the gauges I will be using will be electric like factory. I plan to fab my own cluster panel and mount all my aftermarket mechanical gauges in it. As for lights and wipers. That is no big deal to rewire and make work.

The dash bolts right in. I think you have to bend the upper tabs by the windshield but other than that its pretty much the same. Just be sure to have the steel bracing that is attachted to the dash as well.

Yea tearing it apart for the first time usually does take a little but of time but putting it back together can be a bit easier since you don't have to put every little thing back together. Just the essentials lol. I think I have maybe 8 screws holding my dash in lol.
