Gas gauge problem please help

Default Gas gauge problem please help
My gas gauge works but when i hit a bump it goes back up to full and stays there then works when it wants to. What causes this and how can i fix it.

yep, it involves dropping the gas tank.
take it out, put the new one in.
put in gas tank
done
