Default weird starting issue

When I start my car it will not start until I let go of the key. It will turn over forever but will not start until I turn it back to the run position. Anyone else ever had this problem? Any ideas on how to fix this problem? I have replaced the ignition switch to no avail.

after i got the carb swap done i didnt notice that i had the coil wire on an hot when key is in run only, so it prob is something kinda like that.(where it doesnt have power on the coil when its in a start pos. check the coil wires. have a test light or a meter on the neg. wire and have someone crank it and see if it doesnt have power.

As far as I know they are all in the factory positions. They look to be the same as my 91 vert. Could it be my MSD coil?I think it is the reason my stock tach does'nt work.
