Default Smog Pump Removal ? (All Precautions)

I know it has been on here before but i bought everything new for my car (tranny, crate engine, exausht, intake, intake manifold, etc.) so it is all ready now to be put all back together. But i want to know what i have to do with the holes in the heads from the smog pump. I know your not sepost to put the bolts back in there because it will give you a nasty leak so i want to know what are all the steps to getting it done. Plus what is the best belt size for the new configuration. Then also what is the best map for it to go around through the pullies. Just tell me all the steps that i should do and any precautions on the way. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

i think what most people do is just plug that metal pipe that hooks to the back of the heads.

i use an 81" belt for my smog pump bypass

there are two vacuum lines that run to the hoses that come out of the smog pump, plug them both. you wil also want to get rid of the egr crap. i think ebay sells this thing you can plug into the electrical sensor to keep the check engine light from coming on. there is also a vacuum line going to the egr valve that needs to be plugged

At S&k Speed they make bolt to go in the heads, any high performance place should have them there.

i used 9/16 coarse thread bolts to plug the holes. (9/16 is the bolt size not the size of the head) they were an inch long so i used washers as spacers because they wouldnt thread all the way in. or you could cut them. no leaks here.
