bog out
gonna run a 275 street tire on my welds, and 26x8 slicks for the track, will i bog out if i only take off around 2 or 2500?? how much will it hurt me? i dont wanna break anything. just a few bolt on stang.

26x8 should be fine for the stock 7" rims, if you got bigger rims get bigger tires.
I would weld up and put some kinda reinforcement in your torque boxes first though.
I only ran street tires and I got gears and a hella lot of other bolt ons and mine are messed up.
I have to bring it to a bodyshop to get them to straighten them on the frame rack.

26x8 is a perfect sized slick imo, i dont need any bigger for my 5.0, i know a 500 horse camaro running 26x8.5 slicks and he drops the clutch at 5k and lifts the front tires.. so i dont think i need more tire.
