Has anyone used this with their fan? I just got a taurus fan and am considering getting one of the DC fan controls to install it. What amperage does the taurus fan draw after start up?
I know the taurus fan draws like a hundred amps at start up but what does it draw after it's already rotating? Which controller did you have steveskal? There are two different versions (I don't know the difference) and then there are two different amps for each version of the controller... Which one would be best?
I ended up going with SPAL for my Taurus fan setup but took it off. I ended up putting a Painless switch panel in the ashtray and ran a high and a low.
Those of you that have the Taurus fan, how did you wire yours up? Did you use just the low speed or high speed or both? Also, how did you mount the fan to the radiator?

You will love it like I do. It's all incredibly painless to wire up, and the instructions are very clear. I was able to do it in an hour, and believe me, I'm no electrical genius. You want the FK35, and you will probably want to upgrade your alternator to a 130 amp version. You will wire it to the high speed wire, so the controller has the capability to bring it all the way up to max speed if needed. Make sure you get the right Taurus fan. It's the one that came on the Taurus with the 3.8 liter engines.

LOL, everything he just said. I had the same one and yes just connect it to the high speed since the controller works kinda like a dimmer switch in your house, it will sense what the fans needs and draw only what it needs to run, thats why this is the best unit out there.
