Default quick radiator question

Hey guys,

My radiator got a small hole in it and my local auto salvage place has one for $50 out of a 1984 2.3l. Can I use this on an '86 5.0?

It may fit but I wouldn't recommend it. I can buy a new one here for around 150 bucks.

^^Why not recommend? Were the 2.3l radiators smaller? I really don't have 150 bucks. Btw, I think the car it's coming out of had A/C which I think makes it a 2 core.

Yeah but the tanks sit different. It will fit fine. But the 2.3 liter will sit closer to water pump pulley.

I have a non-leaking 5.0 stock radiator that I don't need. PM if interested.
