Default project topspeed

I should have stopped by here sooner. I'd pour everybody a shot, but umm.. yeah.
Do I ever need some tech advice.

Black 82 Mustang GT is coming out of the garage very soon and the 928 is going back up.
I feel bad about locking the Mustang up so I wanted to buy her a few toys.
I haven't tried this combination out yet, but I'm guessing maybe 280bhp with the new cam?
According to the Mustang registry, stock for 82 GT was 157bhp.

fresh cylinders 306ci with speed-pro pistons & rings,
(i read an article online about facing the notch on the pistons toward the rear for a little more sauce)
new bearings,
bone stock cam & heads,
aluminum performer rpm int. manifold (i think stock was alum too)
600cfm perf.rpm 4-brl carb.
msd 6a, coil & billet distributor,
centerforce dual friction disc & plate,
full-length bbk headers, (1.625" i think) ??
stock oil assembly,
competition subframes,
new optima red-top since she was good.

I picked up a hydraulic edelbrock perf.rpm roller cam (.520 lift) & 112 deg. lobe seperation.
(I didn't think .520 was too radical)
Am I going too far? She's still running 2:73 gears in the back w/ a 4-spd manual.
I need suggestions on follow-up products that should match up well enough to really make it kick.
Summit won't ship until Monday, so what are some suggestions.?
I'm holding off on heads & t-5 at the moment. I hope I can pull that off soon, but later.

01) valve guides (what should I look for? - I don't have any yet)
02) new push-rods (stock length ok?)
03) roller lifters (are they worth the extra buck, or should i ebay the roller-cam & pick up a tapper kit?)
04) am I missing anything?
05) new motor mounts (options? recommendations?)
06) cork or rubber gaskets?

Basically I wanted to know about the cam, but I'm new to the forum so I thought I'd introduce the car.
Is the lift too high for stock valves?

One more thing: I picked up a set of BBK 2" lowering springs, but haven't installed them yet.
I like the aggressive stance on slammed fox Mustangs.
How is the 2" drop going to affect cornering? Will she be sitting too low?
Shouldn't I replace some bushings while I'm doing the suspension? Any key points?

Shoot me straight with the oil system too will ya?
Once I get it in there, I'd like to leave it there for a while.

Cool. Thanks.

Also, how do you expect this thing to get out there and perform. ?
And if they can catch up, how many tickets do you think I can get in two weeks?

as for the lowering springs u will need chamber plates just for the info, lowering the car should help your cornering, how ever i would check your clearance u may need to watch the speed bumps and dips and curbs etc

Be carefull pulling into driveways and over speedbumps. You headers WILL scrape with a 2" drop.
