I did the h/c/i and rest of internals and i love it. Then again, I havent driven a 5.0 with a supercharger or turbo in it to really feel the difference.

For me the H/C/I(302) was more of a gradual build up that. It felt good, but compared to my dad's car, the torque was not there.(My dad's got a 67 chevelle SS w/454 stroked to 496: made 408rwhp & 508lbft tq@1200rpm!!!). The supercharger gives you a nice BAM! right around 3000rpm+ and never stops pulling. Looking at your mods you have a nice 331 so you are making some good numbers. I guess the point is, for $4000 you can get alot of stuff. It all depends on preference. Some like boost while some prefer the NA route. With some used parts, $4000 might be enough to get the best of both worlds.

I know if I had 4K in mods I'd finish off my 408 project and drop that in there instead of my 302.

Yeah...that too. lol

Its always a good idea to do the suspension, It would probably be good to do a little bit of both, suspension and engine. sub frame connectors and such are a good idea, as far as other stuff I'm far from the expert so I'll let some one else tell you the important stuff.

with 4k i'd spend a good 1500k worth on suspension(2k if you get gears installed). that'd get your springs, struts, shocks, sub frames, tq boxes beefed up, sticky tires, u/l control arms and gears(cost extra to get them installed) then you'd still have room to get heads until a later date when you have another 1-2k or so to finish off your HCI.

so at 5-6k you'd have full suspension, gears, HCI and low 12's in your pocket at the least.

You can get into the 11's with pretty much a stock 5L adding a SC...I'd say, SC, intake, injectors, 3.73's and exhaust....I've seen stock suspension go deep into the 10's...E cam will work fine with the SC as well...

Yeah, but he should still get at least the subframe connectors and mabey a strut tower brace to keep that thing from twisting on him, don't you think?
