5.0 not starting

5.0 not starting
ok so i know that im
jumping the gun here, since i haven't checked anything but my 5.0 failed to start today. i went to turn it on after about a month of no activity (stupid i know). it cranked but wouldn't turn over. my first guess is battery but it's only about three months old.
what worries me is that there's a loud clicking noise coming from the engine. kind of like when your battery is dead but much louder and with a smaller frequency. any thoughts or ideas?

Sounds like the battery to me....if its just clicking....there might be a draw on the battery if you have not used the car in a month...charge the battery & check it with a multi-meter if you have one....

well the battery is good. the engine tries to roatate but wont completely turn over. im guessing starter? im going to have it checked out. my alternator is new too.
