AFR 165'S #1402 questions
#11
have afr replace that, if they told you something and it messed up the heads, don't pay a shop to fix them, it's their fault not yours you shouldn't have to pay a dime more than what you payed for the heads unless you do extra machining work to them.

I will call afr tomorrow and ask for a credit on the shims and the reason that the stud would not fit is B/C the shim colapsed in on its self there was no damage to that head at all THANK GOD FOR SMALL FAVORS

I beg to differ with that line of thinking, It's not their fault he hammered them in..would you drive your car off a cliff if AFR told you too???..and there are often disclaimers in the instructions saying: "such product should be installed by a professional"^^^^^ you should have enough common sense not to sledge hammer them in..if they wouldn't pop in by hand, first thing I'd of done is call AFR and double check......but hey beginneers mistakes happen...just send the bushings back and be on your way..I'm sure the heads are still fine

Anyway, every one is right excepy whoever said that AFR should replace or credit the shims. The 165s have 7/16" holes for the 302 and the 185s have 1/2" holes. I used the bushings when I put the 185s on my 347.
