Default Intermittent start

I have a 94 GT. It just began giving me problems with starting. I have checked all the fuses, and found a 30 amp blown and replaced. I replaced the ignition switch and key cylinder. The battery is good. The battery connection is good, because I disconnected and reconnected it. When it does start, it starts strong. I also checked for voltage at the fuel pump (CCRM) relay, no volts and the fuel pump works fine.

What it is doing is, most of the time when I turn on the ignition, I will get the normal electrics, fuel pump etc. Then when I turn it to start, everything goes dead. A complete loss of power. Then even turning the ignition to run or ACC gets nothing. After a while, (maybe 15 minutes or more) I can go back and the power will be back and it may start, or it may go dead again. Just seems to be random.

Any ideas where to go from here?

Thanks mjr. I read elsewhere on the forum that someone had an almost identical problem and it was suggested that a bad solenoid could cause the whole electrical system to short out. Does that make sense?

^^^^^^^^^^it's possible......it sounds like a faulty connection or high resistance in one or a component causing the open to occur intermitently

Yep, the pos battery cable was pretty corroded. Cut off the last two inches, crimped on a new terminal, starts every time. Thanks!
