does anyone know off the top of their head what would cause a power window to not stop when it hits the top or bottom of its travel. in other words, if you roll it up or down when it gets to the end it doesnt stop. it tries to keep on going. thanks guys!!! oh and this is in my moms '96 explorer.

i had the happen on my dads 02 blazer. the motor kept locking up becuase would go up to far. the window would bow outward becuase it rolled up so much. i stuck a bolt at the end of track to keep it from moving past that point. that worked for a year or so then the motor locked up. i through in a whole window regulator and motor and fixed the prob
