The XR280R really wakes up a 347 but if you plan on driving it on the street you may want to move into a hyd roller or Mechanical xolid flat tappet. Solid rollers use really high spring pressure so it will beat the lifters to death.
FYI.....

AFM N-91 = 240/248 .576/.576 110 LSA 106 ICL = HR camshaft
XR280R = 242/248 .608/.614 110 LSA 106 ICL = SR camshat

Please compare.

i dont mean to sound stupid, but im good at changing parts. i know a little about how to match parts. what do u look for with heads? cam? flow numbers? rpm range? cubic inches? ive herd the engine is an air pump. the more u get in the more you get out, but the parts have to match. my buddy has a car that runs 6.90s in an 8th mile. which is why im building my 347. but i think i can beat him with a smaller cam. thats really my goal. he has a 82 coup weighs 2650 w/o driver, 347 10.5.1. comp, vic jr heads with stage one done, vic jr intake, msd dis, g-force t-5, he says he has a lunati custom grind with 300 plus duration, and like 698 lift. he comes out at 7600 and shifts at 8800 with a stock block. ive got it on camcorder as soon as i figure out how to put it on here. its been together for 7 years, but raced every weekend for 5 years. he has the box with the grind numbers ill have to get them. does this cam sound too big? its what lanati said to put in it.

AFM N-91 = 240/248 .576/.576 110 LSA 106 ICL = HR camshaft , or XR280R = 242/248 .608/.614 110 LSA 106 ICL = SR camshat. would the solid roller be faster, but the hyd be more dependable to drive on the street? ive got more to learn than i thought.....lol

You have 24° and 25° overlap @.050" respectively, but yes.... the SR cam will be more aggressive. Again, would I guess with either?.... nope. The cost of setting the correct valve train for either, justifies the help/services from a real custom cam professional..... set it once, invest/spend once; and enjoy.
