Two blown head gaskets
I was just wondering if anyone have ever heard of a 306 engine blowing out two head gaskets at the same time? I have a 88 lx and the car one day when i was driving it a bit two hard it started working like Crap.So I got to wark and done a compression test and found that cylinders 4,5 and 7,8 were dead. so i tore the engine down to find that two head gaskets were blown out in between cylinders. What would be some advice to what may have happened? is this normal? has anyone heard of a Warped Block? or am i looking at maybe something else?
any help would be greatly appriciated! thanks.

timing being too far advanced.
i did that once, the gun had a dial on the back for advancement and it was turned way up and i didnt know it. i drove it down the road to check for pinging and i didnt get any, went up 1 degree, no pinging, so i went up 3...well it pinged. i couldnt get the car to idle or start worth crap and i did a compression check, 1 dead cyl.
one gasket had 3 blown, 2 of them touching, the other side had one.

Don't use a cheap torque wrench when torqueing heads. They can be 10-20lbs off sometimes. I tested a craftsman one I had on the matco tool truck and it was 17lbs low when I had it set at 100ftlbs.
