My friend has a 1992 lx 5.0 5spd..and he is having an idle problem where sometimes the idle surges from like 1500-to 400 and back and forth..once in a while when he comes to a stop it will also stall. So far we replaced the iac and the tps sensor and nothing changed so we returned both. But now when the idle went to around 400 and stayed there, we adjusted it to around 1000 and so far its been good. What do you guys think is the problem here?

clean MAF with MAF cleaner, make sure you are setting the tps properly between .6 and 1.01 volts on the green wire, verify base timing is correct. if problems persist run koeo/koer self tests for codes and check for vacuum leaks
