and the c-6 is gonna need rebuilding and 3 rd gear repair so your investment when all said and done won't be 50 bucks and to put it ina fox, you'll need the proper bellhousing , flexplate and tranny mount for either swap and if your not auto already you'll need a trans cooler and proper shifter for such a swap

what about the balance 28 or 50 oz? If you think your car is slow now, wait till the C6 sucks an additional 50+ hp to turn the pump

c4's are cheap, the one in my car now was $100, All I did to it wash flush it out with clean fluid and put in a filter bc it sat outside for a couple of years. It runs great.

c6's are heavy parasites that don't belong in a fox unless you are running a big block.

A C6 and AOD weigh about the same. You would need a 164 tooth flexplate weighted to your engine, you will need a new block plate because of starter placement. It will fall right in place on your cross member and if you plan on running long tubes I hope you have some deep pockets. You will give up 30 peak hp over a C4 and will have to have a new driveshaft built for it. It's a tight fit but it will go. The trans cooler lines are a tight fit. The only reason I have one in mine is I had a nearly new TCI SS fighter on hand that I had purchaced for another car that didn't pan out. I was willing to give up a few HP for the durability of the C6.

In your situation to where you have to build the transmission I'd stick to a C4. You wil come out cheaper in the long run. If you plan on making any trips you may want to consider a AOD
