Default The water temp sensor is unpluged

Hey all the sensor i am talking about is actually located on the black metal heater hoses... The part of these hoses that screws into the intake snapped when i was removing it (it was very corroded and this was the only was to get it off)... The reason for the post is that i plugged the sensor that screws into this and was wondering if this was hurting me any??? Will this effect performance or anything else???
