This maybe a dumb question but i have to ask. I friend of mine has a 85 motor and say he knows for sure without even taking out a lifter that he has a roller cam. The reason to his claim is that after removing the intake it has a spider valley bracket bolted to the motor. I'm not sure thats a good idea to think that until he removes a lifter. I didnt take a picture of the block but i did find a pic on the web and thought it would be good enough for the knowledgable people here to tell me who is right. please look at pic below. Thanks
if he pulled a lifter and it was a roller lifter than yes its a roller cam.
No thats not what i asked. I asked if just by looking at the valley and seeing the spider bracket in the the valley would that be considered a roller just by veiwing the bracket.

my mistake. i read it wrong now that i went back to read it again. i thought he pulled a lifter out and was like "yep its a roller" lol. so i was kinda like...duh? ahaha my mistake, yea what PJ said is correct.
