Cool Problems with clutch 92 LX Notch

okay so i have a 1992 Notch, i just did a full t5 swap on from aod, i did a reg borg warner t5, with a used flywheel, a newer King cobra clutch that i just found out was not broken in right, im pretty sure the flywheel needs resurfaced, but my question is, when i try and launch out of the hole it just burns the hell out of the clutch. but if im moving or rolling at all and i drop the clutch it grabs perfect. i dunno maybe bad clutch and flywheel? anyone had these problems// if you think its the clutch whats a good clucth to go with, i have about 300 cash -.- any good clutches you know of,

302, stock but buying

trickflow stage 1 cam,
afr 185 heads,
trick flow track intake,
70mm throttle body,
75 mm mass air,
and 24 lbs injectors.
and i just recieved my 373:1 gears.
so i need a clutch that will hold up i guess ;l
any ideas?

Your flywheel probably needs resurfaced or maybe even a new one if it is slipping that bad it may have tons of heat spots and your clutch is probably on its way out if has been slipping. Centerforce dual friction clutches are pretty nice.

if your pretty good at pulling the tran's i would just swap the flywheel with a new one, and put it back together and try it out again.

my brandnew flywheel from mustangunlimited was like $105

lol ya im pretty good at pulling the tranny, im 19 years old. ive done it about uh 8 times now.. lol, but anyways i ripped it out of there seems my rear main seal was leaking down onto the clutch, so i bougth a brand new flywheel, and a spec stage 2 clutch should be in tommorw, and i replaced the rear main. so hopefully it all goes better now. im sick of not being able to launch in rpm's lol. but thanks for the help everyone =-]

the flywheel would have to be burn pretty bad for a brand new clutch to slip like that wouldnt it? how about adjusting your clutch cable??

Sounds like a leaky rear main would be the reason lol, but for future reference adjust your clutch cable, when i drive my stang hard i have to re-adjust it quite frequently. Crappy clutch FTW.............
