I just purchased a PRO-66969R for my 85 GT and was wondering if anybody has used it. Summit says it works with factory roller cams, i have ford racing b cam. Also summit says the gear is steal. But in the instructions i pulled from proformparts.com says you should use a bronze gear for roller cams. I read into that and noticed they put the same instruction sheet in with all there distributors, and alot of chevys use the bronze. So has anybody used it and what do you think?

steel is fine, iron is bad

use a steel one, no need for a bronze one

Could some one help me figure out how to wire this up? I was planing on finding a switched on source and using a relay to give it power from the positive the back of the alt. IF there is a better way let me know. Ive read that it is ideal that you wire it up so you are not using the ballast resistor. Also i need to know how to hook the tach up too. I have the plugin i need off of a chevy with a tach so im good with that. Thanks so much for the help.
