Default Quick H/C/I Question

I am doing a gt40 HCI on my 93 mustang with 91k miles.

When you replace the timing chain, is it standard procedure to replace the gears aswell? or is it ok just to replace the chain itself.

you dont have to replace the gears.... but while your in there whynot? one less thing to worry about,

Its mainly the chain you have to worry about since it can stretch and grow

What he said...if the gears are not worn it'll be fine.

When i did my h/c/i i tried that timing chain and it didnt work for me. After i bolted it down it still had a lot of front to rear play so make sure you check that. The stock one didn't move at all so i figured it was wrong, i exchanged it for an FRPP one.
