Default rubbing issue

Ok I just got all new wheels and tires. they are 17x9's and i believe tires are 235/45-17. Now when I try to turn the wheel all the way when it get close to the stopping point it will start to rub how can i fix this? Do i have to modify the inner fender? Then if I decide to lower the car in the front say 1.2" will it get worse? what causes the rubbing the lower your car gets or the width of your tire? obviuosly the width of tire causes some but if i lower it will the rubbing start sooner and get worse? please let me know your thoughts and ideas. I am at stock ride height right now. Soon I am getting new shock springs and struts.

You need to get some rack limiters to prevent you from turning your wheels to full lock. You can buy them at just about any mustang parts website..they are just plastic washers that clip over your steering rack that take up some space to prevent your wheels from turning all the way in either direction.I found mine the cheapest from the local ford dealership part # n804842 s....or heres a link to 50resto to give you idea of what they look like.http://images.latemodelrestoration.c...RS-3504HDW.jpg

Are your tires rubbing or are your rims rubbing on the A-arms?

Like everyone else here just trying to help if I can. So yes I am interested whether it's the inside or outside of the tire or rim that's rubbing.
