Default thunderbird starter, or aftermarket mini high trq?

Whats up fellas.

Got the pedal's done for my swap.

let me tell you, 9,000 curse words, a 6 pack of keystone light, and about 4-5hrs of work later, I got it done.

n-e-who, after getting the H pipe and drive shaft off, im eyeballing the stock starter (89 5.0 huge thing) and im thinking i should replace it while i have it out.....

ive heard you can get a "mini" OEM starter from a thunderbird for like $40 new that will fit, or a $140 aftermarket mini high trq starter is always an option

what do you guys recommend?

I don't think you need a mini high torque. Get a one for a newer Ford (ie mustang truck van or tbird like you said).
