HELP! GT40 intake vac line install problem
Couple of questions while trying to finish this install of a upper and lower explorer (gt40 style) intake. The first and main problem I am having is the vacuum line set-up. The upper explorer intake does not have the same vacuum fittings underneath it like the stock intake. What fittings on the explorer upper plenum do I need to cap off and which ones do I use and where do they go. Also the lower manifold is not tapped for the egr coolant line on the back left corner of the manifold. Can I just eliminate the egr completely? if so how do I go about doing that. What about the canister that has a line from the fuel tank going into it? can I do away with that? please someone post some useful info so I can get back to spinning rubber all over the local rice rockets. Thanks

i put the stock upper right next to the explorer and swaped everything over and caped off what was not needed. Youre gonna need some vacuum fittings and some hose, just bring some hose with you to the auto part store, so you get the right size. For the fuel pressure regulator line and the other small one i used a fitting that goes from one opening to two( y shaped) For the big line(1/2") that goes to the vacuum tree I used a 3/8 elbow fitting.
As for the lower intake, you'll need to tap in a nipple there for one of the egr coolant lines. Im not running an egr valve or egr coolant lines, so I didn't have to.
