Default Crossmember

I want to install a poly trans mount and poly crossmember mounts.
Does the transmission need to be supported prior to removal of the crossmember?
My thought is that the trans is connected to the motor. Thanks.

Just un bolt the trans and jack it up, there should be enough room

Yes it absolutly needs to be supported. You would have a rough time removing the crossmember to body bolts without doing so.
