An "E" cam is good for someone needing a budget forced induction cam for a small turbo or Cent. Supercharger. I have seen some nice results with them under boost, but nothing will substitute a custom. I have also heard alot of good things about Comp Cams XE lines also.

From what I gathered a long time ago it goes E cam is more fun on the street but the B cam will put down better times at the track.

Like people are saying though unless you have one laying around or can pick one up hella cheap go with something else.

Id rather have 8 briggs&straton cams welded together and jock rash than a letter cam in my engine. CompXE or Custom grind.

so with a gt40p motor with a single plane intake, 650 edlebrock (hella cheap), headers (not decided), with the plans for nitrous what comp cam would be the best? the forms to fill out for a comp cam tech are ridiculous

Comp XE270HR, lose the intake for an Air gap, crosswind or reg RPM without the Nitrous or NX264HR for use with Nitrous.

I would never waste the money on a custom grind around a set of GT40p heads. If you swap heads or gear ratio it's not optimal. Wait until you build a real engine around a great set of heads and then have it custom ground.
