Default Torque Box Broke...

Hey everyone so I have been a long-time lurker and have gotten some awesome help and info just by reading and now I need some... Upon inspection for a 'shimmy' in the rear turns out my torque box is busted... Now I am trying to find a kit to hook it back together. I have found some and just trying to see what you think I would need. Here is a quick link to the ones I know about:
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294925008

Also here are a few pics of the problem...

If I could get one of those reinforcement kits to work that would be great. If not and you know about something else ALL help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

first thing to do would be reattach it to the body via, mig welder, and I'd run a solid bead of weld over any seam, and then weld in the reinforcement kit

Awesome. Would just that cheap kit with only plates do it do you think? It is a stock engine so I am not putting down serious power or anything...

If your on a budget just weld it all back together and make sure to weld on every seem like MJR said. If you have the extra money to throw at it and you plan to keep the car for a long time buy a set..

if you don't plan to add any more power or drag race it, you can weld that back in place and with metal plate of your own reinforce it, or buy the kit and weld it in on top of all that.

buy new boxes and have them welded in(labor is not bad),

after its cool, cover the repair with enriched zinc primer 4 coats and then 3 undercoating coats.

be sure to remove your carpet before taking it to the frame shop.

Installs in 4 hours using; Basic hand tools, drill, sawzall and an air hammer will help. Once installed minor welding is required. Available for 79-93 & 94-04 Mustangs.

these , I have seen at the track on 600rwhp + cars, but im sure there are others

i would use an electric or air scaler to remove the paint, rust and debris to get a nice clean weld if your doing the work, but again, the cost for install is not that bad

I think it would be a good idea.
Great insurance, and will result in less problems down the road.
