Quieting a 91 convertible-rattling windows, etc
I'm going to be having the Maximum Motorsports chassis stiffening bits installed(XL subframe braces, strut tower brace, K member brace), but what drives me crazy are the window rattles (top up and top down) and squeaking.
In your collective experience, how can I quiet the windows? The weatherstripping seems OK, but it is an 18yo convertible that was never designed as a convertible. Do you think it's worth replacing the weatherstripping at the top of the door channels, or is there a way to "tighten up the windows?
With the top up, does applying some silicone (I have a tube of ShinEtsu silicone grease for my Honda Odyssey thats for weatherstripping) to the roof weatherstripping have any appreciable effect?
Also, when I replace the top someday, is it worth (or doable) replacing the 91 top with a 93 style double headliner? Anybody have direct experience? I only know one guy who had a 93, and he said he thought it made a big difference, but that may be wishful thinking thinking and the power of suggestion...
I don't expect hardtop quiet, I'd just like to get a little closer to the solid feel of a 2006 convertible I had the chance to drive.
All suggestions(other than buying a new Mustang that I can't afford!) are appreciated!

subframe's will help with the normal everyday squeak's and such, because your car isent flexing as much.
my top squeak's almost non-stop someday's, other day's i dont hear anything.
as for the rattle of the window's im thinking it's something in your door.
tightening everything up, and inspecting part's might revel something wrong, replacing the weather stripping wouldn't hurt.
