Default "clunk" when turning sharp

Car: 91 GT

When I turn really sharp in my car it makes a "clunk" sound. Ball joints are pretty new and the car is lowered a bit. I'm guessing something is worn out, maybe end links, rod ends?

Could be any number if things. If you can't check it out take it to someone who can before you are going down the road and your front wheels decide they want to go opposite directions

Some noises can be ignored depending on what it is but I'd never trust a noise in the front of a Mustang. The lower ball joints are being pulled out of their socket by design. Enough wear and like Portmaster said front wheels in opposite directions.

Check the sway bar mounts too. Mine did that and it was the bracket breaking off the frame...

Yea alot of times the sway bar links rust and snap then when the cars weight shifts you hear a thud.

My buddy had the same problem, sounds like you have a broken sway bar end link. (the part that connects the sway bar to the control arm).

My Mustang does this too, not really sure what to think of it. The whole front end of the car is tight, only does it when the conditions are just right.

my car tends to clunk when changing directions quickly, i think it is my tie rod. and i know my sway bar bushings are toasty.
