This is a problem my brother has going on. Here is the info, figured I would ask here for some tips.

90 Mustang 5.0.
Problem - When driving with the A/C on, and then slowing down to stop or turn, the car will die. It does not do this when the A/C is off.

My quick advice was to check the A/C WOT Cutout Relay. However I have not found any info on the net that indicates what the symptoms of a faulty on are.

I would check the IAC first.

Can you provide a bit more insight. What would you do to check it, plus if it was the IAT wouldn't it die when the a/c is off ?

Not necessarily. If the Iac is not moving properly it may not raise the idle enough to keep it running with the demands of A/C. Take it off check for proper movement, and clean it. See if that helps.

try cleaning the IAC.

Does it have a stock alternator/ignition system? Maybe if he's running a lot of electrics it can't provide enough juice and that's just enough to send it over the top?? Dunno just an idea..
