Default *Help* Removing Timing Chain

the ford racing double roller..

i cant seem to get it off...i removed the bolt holds it down..but cant seem to get it off..any tips/ideas to get this thing off?

How are you trying? I just pry it from both sides usually. Sometimes a propane torch on the gear helps some. Tap on it with a hammer to loosen it up too.

yeah if it can't take a few taps from a hammer it shouldn't be in the engine

Dont hit it with a hammer. Use a puller it if you can't rock it coff with a pair of pry bars. Hammers and engine parts don't mix

didnt have a balancer on it..was a shortblock..got it off though, thanks guys
