Default Temp guage fluctuation

ok here goes, 92 notch, 180 deg thermo (new and tested it before i put it in), new temp sender. and checked wires for any pinching, etc.

problem: temp gauge goes to the second bar (stock gauge) and then shoots to middle within seconds, stays there, then goes back down after a few minutes. now the funny thing is it will also shoot back down if i take a left or right turn where the body rolls. and then shoot back to half. any suggestions on this?

Check the system for air.

i got an aftermarket housing with a screw on top, so i guessed to unsrew that and let some fluid out to bleed it (not sure if thats right) and also ran it cold without the rad cap on to make sure the pump was moving.

park the car on a steep hill facing upwards. allow it to cool off.

once cool, run it at idle with the cap off. the air will naturally make its way to the highest point in the system (now that you are parked on a hill, its your radiator)!
