So you are using the long stroke piston and putting it in to the short stroke motor and then bringing the piston up to deck height with a long rod. Yes, it will rev a little better than the standard rod 306. is it worth the extra money to do it that way? What is the power increase?

Yep that's how it works, increased piston speed. Now is it worth it, too many variables to yes or no. Power increase? Compared to the same parts on a 5.090" rod, don't know never seen or heard of a true comparison. Is there more power potential? Yes. And it all depends on the combination of parts used, just like any other build.
