5.0 85 GT

Hey Guys, i just graduated and my uncle gave me a 1988 Mercury Cougar Bostonian 5.0L, It only has 60K miles on it and is salmon colored witht he two tone maroon, the car is absolutely flawless and i love it, i am going to take off the 5th pimp wheel on the back and put flowmasters offroad h/y pipe what ever is easier and bbk shorties to get the lovely 5l sound, i am not new to the 5.0 but i was wondering how big the stock throttle body is on the 88 cougar compared to a stock TB off my old 94 gt, and if i could buy a cold air intake that works for a 89-95 mustang and make it work for the cougar, thanks guys appreciate the help, i am not new to the 5.0 as i have had two of them but i oculd not find info on these bad boys....thanks and the car hauls ahah

Does it have the HO in it or no? I don't remember. You should be able to get an h pipe under there no problem. I can't wait to get my cougar back. I had a 92 when I was in HS.

yea, it is the 5.0 HO, it looks like everythign wouild adapt so let me know what i can do to it for that cold air/throttle body and sounds liek ap lan then witht he h pipe...and i will post up pics on it tomorrow after work for you guys

you need to use a fox body throttle body I believe.
