Default Time to make it Faster

I just purchsed a 95 GT 5.0. I have heard its easy to get some cheap horsepower out of these engines. I already have the cold air intake. What is next Chip? Pully?

No need for a chip for a while, pullies will give you minimal gains. Get gears installed in the rear for the easiest and biggest gain in acceleration, but you lose top speed (150+), lol, and maybe 1 highway mpg, not much loss in regular driving mpg.

Or get nitrous. Other than that bolt ons wont do too much by themselves.

wont be faster, but a short throw shifter from MGW will make driving it a lot nicer every time you drive it if its 5 speed. They're 170.

find out then. jack up the car, mark your driveshaft. rotate your wheel 1 complete rotation and count the amount of times the drive shaft goes around. that'll give you a good estimate of your gear ratio.

gears are definately a plus for low end torque, but intake and cam and heads are big gains, put those with some bolt ons and you are there, i couldnt beleive the difference when i put gt40 heads and intake and ford racing cam, along with 70mm accufab TB cold air intake and BBK ceramic headers with flowmasters and now this thing rocks, its a night and day difference

I'd do gears, although they won't give you anymore HP. You could also do a bigger throttle body, and an intake.

I'd draw up a plan on what you would like as an end HP goal for the car so that you can buy what you'll need and not waste money.

Vortech supercharger. You can find them used for well under $2000(Corral.net is a good place to look. I bought mine there. You will need the kit for 94-95 cars). There is nothing like the feel of boost. Also, get a short throw shifter. The stock one is junk.

Yeah a h/c/i swap will breathe some life into her, then from there I'd get a vortech s/c'er and you will see some decent numbers. If you do all the work yourself it won't break the bank either. The nicest part about these motors, other than its torque curve.
