by opening the system and not properly recharging it (Under vacuum and replacing the receiver/drier and orifice tubes) you probably have contamination in the line as stated. THe dash vents could be an entirely separate problem.

And, I agree, you cannot properly diagnose an A/C system without a manifold gauge set.

turns out it was just the rigged compressor once i took the rigged wires off it started working perfectly.
