Default low oil pressure

I noticed the other day that my oil pressure was lower than usual. It's not too low but not normal. It's stayed like that since than. I was wondering what you can do to raise oil pressure while on a budget. Thanks.

What year car do you have? Bc the 87-92 mustangs had a different oil sending unit that moves constantly but in 93 they change the sending unit to a smaller and its more constant. so your sending unit maybe going bad and i would replace it with a 93 its a direct fit to your stock one. Also check you oil level and see what it is at. I maybe lower bc you have a oil leak either at the valve covers or the rear main seal those are the 2 common areas for oil problems. Since you are having oil problems then you should replace the pcv valve and the screen bc when they get clogged up you could get to much pressure in the valve covers and start to get a leak though the valve covers and also take the crankcrase vlave tube from the valve cover stem to the tb off and put a breather on so the valve covers can vent extra pressure out and not put oil and gunk in your tb, iac, and egr

I'd consider checking the sender or using a mechanical or known good guage to check the psi. Like someone said above, the later cars have basically a switch which sends the gague to mid to 3/4 on the gauge. When the switch fails it will read a constant low reading when running.

if you have 10 pounds per 1k rpms its fine but if your that worried you could put some thicker oil and it will raise the pressure
