Question Stang starts first time, then dies

So I have had this problem since I got the car. When I start the car (cold) for the first time it will turn over and start up..........then the RPMS slow down and die. So when I turn it back on for the second time right after, it will stay on then. Does anyone know what that could be? To keep it running the first time I have to rev it up so that it doesn't die and that's getting to be annoying. Also sometimes the RPM gauge will rev itself up very slowly when it almost chokes itself out.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

well it could def. use a tune up (new spark plugs, cables, etc.) maybe just try that first? see how it goes after? the revving of itself could be maybe the maf being shot.........happened to my buddy. he would be sitting at a light and all the sudden his car starts revving itself up to avoid stalling, meanwhile the guy at the light starts eyeballing him thinking about racing lol

check for fuel pressure leaking down, get a gauge on the rail and see if it leaks down

then you need to look for an external leak, which if it has...that will cause leakdown and the symptoms you are experiencing, check injectors, fuel line, regulator , ect ect
