back pressure
i recentally gutted out my resinators on my mustang i was wondering if it would cause me to lose low end torque or hurt my horse power thanks alot,

backpressure doesn't help your engine for power in any way. Any change in exhaust size diameter will cause you to gain in one part & lose in another. The bigger the diameter, the higher the ideal rpm for max power (which is why you can go too big) smaller diameter favors low end horsepower. In a perfect world the exhaust pipe size would vary based on load & engine speed. You lose power on low end by going with bigger exhaust because you're reducing the scavenging effect at the lower rpm & increasing it at the higher rpm. A diffuser to a nozzle is never a good thing for efficiency. The big thing here is whether it was small enough to create a restriction or not & if it was clogged at all.
