Your stock radiator is probably old and plugged up. If this is the case having it recored or even replacing it with a stock replacement will solve running at 210 issues.
If you have a 190 thermostat. It should run at 190. Anything over that and the thermostat is no longer regulating, it's wide open hoping for cooler air.

Not saying upgrading is a bad idea but many occassions a new stock part will fix a 15 year old worn out part. Same with an electic fan. This will NOT solve your cooling issues on the highway. This upgrade is for power savings. Few, if any electric fans will push more cooling air than a factory fan.

I would recomend putting in some royal purple purple ice, I don't have a mustang yet, looking at one right now, but my dad has an 85 gt and if you have a stock radiator he was having the same problems he replaced the water pump and did a coolant flush and it didn't help then I recomended the purple Ice and it worked great it stays at the same temp always now. I guess it has something to do with the way it breaks the tension in the water is what royal purple says. I would try this first before trying anything expensive as its only 15$ for a bottle. Hope it helps

The front end is new, cowl hood head lights and things + radiator. Timing cover leak last winter so I replaced 160 therm with 190. I would say is has been recked not that the previous owner would own up to it Ha Ha, should have known better. drives straght and dont wear tires so that is a ggod thing and he put several things in to it to make a solid foundation. I am getting off the subject, OK I need to bite the bullet and upgrade the radiator/ cooling system.
