i have a 1991 gt and i just replaced the heater core which was a pain in the ***, and i finally get everything put back together and i go to put a battery charger on the car and smoke is coming from the passenger side of the dash. i didn't even start the car, just started smoking as soon as i connected the charger. i checked all the fuses and fuse 8 was blown (radio), so i took out the right dash speaker cause that is where the smoke was coming from but i do not see anything wrong... any ideas?

pull the radio out and make sure that one of the wires for the right speaker is not touching any metal of the car

blower motor is in that area, make sure you didn't pinch any wires upon reinstall

Excite electrons is part of electricity. In reality electricity is magic-it works until you let the smoke out of the wire. Do not let that happen. Very carefully check how the wires are routed. Repair damaged wire, wires.
