I would fix a broken T5 if you really don't have the money to buy a bulletproof transmission like a TKO. Not saying nobody can break a TKO but just because the odd member can get a T5 to survive does NOT mean they are tough.
They are on the ragged edge of survival in a fast car. Some live, some don't. Your odds are much better with a TKO.
